Four-piece units are basically the same as three-piece

entertainment centers with one slight difference. The TV stand will not have a top. Instead, the fourth piece of the set is called a bridge, which will stylishly cover and fasten over top of the TV stand to either side tower creating the appearance of one large connected unit. The bridge will usually include a display shelf or storage area of some kind.

In my opinion, the greatest thing about having a home entertainment center is a clean, stylish, organized look for whatever room it's in. No more wires and cables showing from behind your small TV stand. Organized use of cable and audio receivers and boxes. And the stylish display of your own decorative items and pictures on the shelves. It really will become the centerpiece of any room.

Styles vary from modern entertainment centers for today's high definition widescreen flat panel TVs to more traditional conservative styles for those not quite ready to make that leap.
